Last week, we learned that an ode is a special poem which celebrates or honors someone or something. Here are a few examples written by my students.

"Ode to Fries"
Fries, fries
So small
So small
With salt
With ketchup
Before you know it
They're gone!

Oh, I love you so
Without you, my skin is scaley and dry,
you know

You're creamy touch curls my fingers and toes.

Will you be mine?
