Welcome back! I hope you had a nice break.

The quarter is almost over and so AR books will be due January 16th. There are still many students that have not tested yet. Please check with your child and see how he/she is doing. Since we have a "No Zeroes" policy, students will be required to read and test on an AR book even it is after the due date. Students need to keep in mind though, that during the third quarter, they will have to test on another AR book.

I added extra stems and vocabulary words to the weekly list. Students will now be expected to know 10 stems and 10 vocabulary words weekly. The list was increased in order to meet the sixth grade requirements. Seventh grade teachers continue from where sixth grade left off. Please review these stems and vocabulary words daily with your child. Challenge your child to find stems while they read.
